A Little Goes a Long Way
Having a Mindful Mutt is truly a pleasure. Let's discuss your goals and I will develop a plan and guide you through it step by step. I will introduce you to positive best practices used by professional trainers. Having a calm and well-balanced pet is my goal for you!
Training with Care
Receive personalized care and training tips in the privacy of your own home. As a certified ISCDT dog training partner, I will support you in building your skills and working with your pet to help realize your goals.
Getting off to a Great Start
Puppies are fun, but bundles of energy! I can help by training basic manners and providing ideas for enrichment activities. Socialization during this time is so important!
SERVICES AND PRICES
90 minute consultation - $90
Each program begins with a consultation lasting approximately 90 minutes. During this time, I will gather information about your goals, assess your pup, prepare a plan and give training tips to start you off.

After the initial consultation, single training sessions will be priced at $60 per hour. This includes training, tips for behavior modification, enrichment ideas, and homework (yikes!)

International School for Certified Dog Trainers (ISCDT)
I am proud to be a graduate of the International School for Certified Dog trainers, earning the title of CDT-C. As you probably already know, dog training is an industry that does not require credentials or certification.
I want my clients to feel comfortable, knowing that they are working with a trainer possessing up-to-date knowledge and experience.

Love on A Leash Therapy Dogs
Knowing what joy pets bring to people, my own pets are trained and certified therapy dogs. As a team we visit hospitals, schools, and nursing homes, where we provide comfort and companionship to members in our community.

Leader Dog for the Blind Puppy Raiser
I have had the opportunity to be a Puppy Raiser for Leader Dogs for the Blind. Training a puppy for such an important career is very humbling and extremely rewarding!

As someone who is obviously obsessed with canine education and development, I am always reading, attending webinars and seminars to bring my clients the most up-to-date dog training practices available.
OUR STORY
From Kids to Canines
I have always wanted to teach. Always. I have spent over 25 years teaching in the public school system. Along the way, I developed a passion for dogs.
It all began about a million years ago when I started taking my German Shepherd Dog to Puppy Kindergarten. I was hooked. It didn't take long to realize that the similarities between teaching little humans and dogs is uncanny! We continued on to obedience classes and agility. I truly could not get enough. I love the bond that my dog and I were creating and the fun that we were having together.
Eventually, Bear became a therapy dog, visiting schools, nursing homes and hospitals. He was loved and welcomed everywhere! I have gone on to raise and train other therapy dogs and I have been a Puppy Raiser for Leader Dogs for the Blind.
Training dogs has become my passion. This led me to further my education by becoming a Certified Dog Trainer through ISCDT. I continue my education with seminars and conferences. My goal is to guide you in transforming your furry family member into a "Mindful Mutt"
